IDENTITY FRAUD - It was bought to our attention on Saturday (7 October 2017) that Sandy Dunshea and Fortnum Financial Advisers Dubbo became a victim of identify fraud via the direct marketing system MailChimp.

This resulted in several fraudulent emails being sent to random email addresses without our knowledge. This is a SCAM and is in no way related to Sandy or Fortnum Financial Advisers Dubbo.

We took immediate action and reported this identity theft to the Australian Federal Police and MailChimp. It goes without saying we are deeply shocked that our business has been used in this way and we would like to apologise for the upset this has caused.

Please be assured a Fortnum Financial Adviser would not send this type of email communication under any circumstances. We thank those who have contacted us privately and via Facebook to report the unsolicited emails. We appreciate your patience during this time. Please know we have done all in our power to deal with this through the proper legal channels. We will return to you with the response from the authorities as soon as it is at hand. If you have clicked on any links within the email, or if you think you have provided your account details to a scammer, we encourage you to report this to the authorities. Read More
