This 60 minute discussion is all about you and your financial situation. It's your opportunity to ask questions about pressing financial matters and to learn about your financial options. You may even wish to bring your accountant.
We will discuss your personal situation and provide a preliminary overview of possible financial strategies; discuss whether you need insurances and or investments to achieve your financial objectives. We will also discuss fees for preparing your Statement of Advice, which formalises recommended strategies, projections and a comprehensive disclosure of fees and charges for bespoke financial advice.
We understand that you need time to consider whether or not you wish to take up our advice. Following our meeting, we prepare and send a letter of engagement to you. This formally outlines fees and overviews the content of your Statement of Advice.
Returning your signed letter of engagement, both indicates your agreement to the terms as set out in the letter of engagement, and your approval for us to prepare your Statement of Advice. This is a detailed document that outlines your current financial position along with recommended strategies for meeting your financial objectives. This includes financial projections and a comprehensive disclosure of all the fees and charges you will incur.
Upon receipt of your Statement of Advice, we ask you to review it carefully. We then arrange a meeting to discuss it in person. Our objective is to help you feel confident that you have a clear understanding of our advice and the strategies to be implemented. Only when you and your financial adviser feel that you have a clear understanding and you agree with the advice and recommendations, should you sign an authority to proceed, will the strategies outlined in your Statement of Advice be implemented.
